We woke up early today, it was a warm morning. I’d gotten the kid up out of bed and off to school, so it was just me and my daughter Jennifer. She was too young to start school and my other children we grown enough to. It seemed like a normal day, I was tending to the dishes and Jen played next to me. It was very peaceful.
All of a sudden she started to cry. I looked down at her and smiled and bent down to pick her up. Calmed down enough to tell me in her way what happened. She got a splinter.
I took her to the doctors where she seems to be feeling uneasy. I wanted to make she didn’t get an infection. The nurse took the splinter out and gave her, her first shot. Surprisingly she wasn’t crying and smiled at the nurse when it was all over.

We met at a dance show much like this one, loud music, people laughing and the feeling of dance in the room. We moved to the beat of the band and it was like we were floating on a cloud. He’s always seemed to sweep me off my feet, especially when we danced. We were so graceful and so quick, it was like we’d become one with each other. I know in me that he is my forever and he makes me happiest in life.
The night was humid and the room was loud with tons of people talking and having a good time. We were just dancing for fun tonight usually we danced for other people. But it was like it was just him and I like always. His eyes locked on mine and mine locked on his, we danced. He knew exactly which way I danced and we were in sync as always. Our moves have never been something that people could copy, always being one of a kind. At contest we are unstoppable and determined, but yet we have our fun.
The colors around us were so bright and the faces that watched us were joyful. As we danced and smiled we struck our last pose and he whispered “I love you” He makes me so happy and we will forever dance the tango with each other in our hearts and everywhere else.

I sat there on the balcony of my home, pleasantly just watching the sun set out on the sea. It was still very warm considering the time of day. I’d never been to keen on being alone much, but today was an acception because of the beautiful view I’d never really noticed. I sat there and just listened to the sound of the birds singing a fast and delightful little song.
I heard a break in the peace, it was laughter. The laughter came from people walking down the hall; I could hear their footsteps getting louder and louder. It was my friends, Leo and Harmony, probably trying to get me to come out of my room. They’d always loved to be in others company.
They entered with big grins on their faces and a cheerful tone. They’d decided to join me for a sit and a drink. We enjoyed each other’s company and talked as the warm sun slowly set. I was then filled with total happiness and peace.

This abstract painting is title is unknown, but is painted by Jimmy Prabhakara. The median of this painting is acrylic on canvas. This abstract painting is what looks to be a beach with a jungle of trees behind it that fade into the distance. This shows many of the vocabulary words and art terms.
Many words can be used to describe this painting. The first word would be, abstract, this is because you can’t exactly tell what it is that is being seen. This painting could be anything to someone, but to me I see a beach seen. Balance in is another word that can be used. The all around painting is balanced but the colors don’t exactly balance out. The content of this painting could be anything but it really looks like a beach off of a jungle. There is great contrast in this painting, the different shades of green and blue are all fading into each other but also can be seen easily. The colors in this are all very bright and warm; this gives a happy feeling and a warm energy to most viewing it. The emphasis of this is the water mainly because of the lighter color used compared to the dark blue in it. There is harmony in this, it is peaceful and is easy to look at. The movement in this is very smooth and relaxing. There is outdoor lighting in this painting because it is like the sun is right above you, the lighting gets darker in the back ground this is plein air. The dark blue in the background was mixed with black which shows value in this painting. There are many types of tones in this painting, the different qualities of colors. There is a lighter color’s in this than dark, the dark is more in the right of this. These are the different words that can be used for this painting.
This painting is of what looks to be a beach, in Quek, Singapore. The beach seems to be off of a jungle or forest. The colors are very warm and make a relaxed feel almost like you’re going to the beach. Even though it’s abstract it still takes the feel of a beach.

This website is related to my concept in many ways. Although this is from the religion of Buddish, this shows the diverse feeling of happiness or how it is different for everyone. This shows how people can be more open to happiness. Many people don't know what it really is, because they've never experianced it. This artical goes on to tell that basically that nothing but yourself will make you happy, "no amount of technological development can lead to lasting happiness. What is almost always missing is a corresponding inner development." This link shows that many are unwilling to be happy and it helps to just be open to happiness to be happy.

The pop art painting by Roy Lichtenstein titled, Happy Tears, shows the theme of happiness. This paintings subject is that the girl is so happy she is crying. The girl has red hair and blue eyes, she seems to being from past years. This is oil on canvas median. The painting was made by a man that loved to put women in his work. Happiness is clearly shown in this painting.

There are many words that can describe this painting. One word that helps is aesthetic, the artist saw this as beautiful because it was of a woman who is very happy. The color in this is another aspect that is shown, this has bright colors and this creates it to be move cheerful and expressive of happiness. Focal point in this is the eyes, because they are showing emotion and how the mood is of the women in it. Line, the lines in this painting are much defined and clear, they help give it a “cartooned” look to it. The texture is very smooth and solid on this and it makes it again seem like a cartoon, also there is no shading on this painting so there is no realistic feel to it. Another word would be figurative, this shows many qualities of a human because it is of a women’s face. Hue, the hue in this is colors that are very bright and cheerful, there aren’t however very many shades of colors. Also harmony is a word, all the element of this come together very smoothly and makes it easy to look at. The highlight of this painting is shown in the face, which is another word that can be used. The woman in this is a form, which is a structure in the painting. Emphasis is shown, the yellow background and the women’s light blue eyes really pop. Finally, the content of this is of a girl being so happy she is crying with joy. Many words help express this painting and these are some.

The story I see within this piece is a women who has just experienced a extremely happy moment in her life. She seems to be overwhelmed with happiness and joy. The mood of her and this picture is happy because of the colors and her expression.

The portrait, appropriately titled "Happy", by Laura Rispoli clearly shows happiness. The ink on canvas paper shows a man and a women hugging and smiling. They are both wearing older styled cloths, possibly from the 50's. These cloths look to be dressy or dressed up cloths. Their smiles clearly show joy and togetherness. This portrait is a clear expression of happiness because of their body language and facial expression, and truly shows the joy of being together in each others company.

There are many words that can explain this painting. One word the is used is Balance, this is because the man and woman are centered in the middle of the canvas and this helps even it out in space. Chiaroscuro is another word that can be used to describe this because the only colors used in this are black and white, which help give a distinction between light and dark. The body language and facial expression on the two peoples faces is what makes this content. It clearly shows happiness. Color in this is not big in this painting but it still is shown,there is a lot of black, white and even gray. This colors help emphasis one another, which is another word that describes it. Figurative is when there are human beings represented in it, this clearly shows humans in is and they are in fact the only thing in it. The two people are in the foreground of the painting and this means they are the closet to the front. The form that is in this is the man and women. The man and women have hue on them, this is when there is many tints, like the black and white shown. Hugging and smiling is the movement with is another word that can be used in this. These two people that are in this painting are very realistic and this is called realism. They take on many realistic traits because of the shading on them. Finally, they both have a very smooth texture and are very clean cut. These words help to describe this portrait.

The story I see within this piece is the couple has just got engaged. He completely surprised he with it because she was nervous about the way he was acting at dinner. They have been together for a short amount of time but its a sure thing, like love at first sight. He asked her to take a walk in the park after dinner, she was babbling to fill the silence. When all of a sudden he stopped her and smiled at her. He got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. And she said yes, this happy moment was sealed with a kiss and this hug. There memory will be forever captured in this painting. The End.

For my concept I declare the theme of Happiness. Happiness is something that is hard for most people and to find it is such a joyful feeling. I never thought that I personally could find my happiness but all it took was time and sometimes to get to the place we want we have to go through a lot to reach it. I have been through a lot in life with family, and social troubles. And when I met my best friend I found out what it felt like to have someone there to help pick up the peices. I never really had friends that cared about me. We share a lot of happiness and she is a big part of my life. Happiness isn’t the same to everyone, that’s what makes it such a special thing.

Happiness comes to people in many ways with life. The definition of happiness is state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Happiness isn’t the same to everyone, that’s what makes it such a special thing. It really interest me of how there are different types and that people experience it all differently. Also, happiness is not something that is always expected, it just happens and can happen in strange places.

There are many artists, poets, and songs that are dedicated to happiness. Like in the painting Peace Love and Happiness, done by William Adolphe Bouguereau, this shows a type of happiness in the women. In a poem Happiness from that poet Raymond Carver, it talks about the perfect moment and how nothing can wreck it and how happiness is much unexpected even on such a gloomy and dark night. Also, a song writer that talks about happiness is Bob Marley in the song don’t worry be happy, he really talks about how things will be okay and not to have any sort of worry in life. Happiness is something that has influenced many types of artists.
